Neutral Third Party Services

This category of service arises when one or more parties to a dispute appoints an independent third party neutral – such as KellyADR – to hear, consider and resolve the dispute by rendering an independent decision (usually reasoned) to settle the dispute between the parties.

Within this category there are six main types of dispute resolution processes: arbitration, adjudication, conciliation, mediation, med-arb and expert determination all of which are explained in more detail by selecting the appropriate link.

In each of these processes the parties jointly retain the neutral to resolve the dispute, though the resolver is not acting for, or advising, any one party. The parties can retain their own representatives and or advisors or the parties can represent themselves in the dispute.
